Pulcinella (FR) | Troyka (UK)

July | November 2014

Deeply-rooted in tradition whilst flying high with contemporary thought, this tour brought together Gaelic and British viewpoints of music. Pulcinella are all about high energy and a fertile imagination. Their theatrical jazz is also fond of rock, musette, tango and Eastern European sounds. Florian Demonsant: accordion, Ferdinand Doumerc: metallophone, flutes and saxes, Pierr Pollet: drums and Jean-Marc Serpin: double bass.

Troyka is a thrilling band made up of three highly respected musicians whose ideas can be poetic, free-range or full-on dance depending on their mood. With Chris Montague: guitars/loops, Joshua Blackmore: drums and Kit Downes: keyboards/organ, they were deservedly in Time Out magazine’s Top 10 live acts in London.
